I am using the book by Pamela Nottingham, and doing as well as I can, all the time being aware that being passive-aggressive is probably not the way forward if I want to improve my technique. Oh well, give me time, and I will probably get over it! I have yet to finish it properly, but I am quite pleased none-the-less.

I think I would have reacted the same way you did! I like what you're doing on your own very much!
wow, so nice job! I'd like to be able to do bobbin lace!! :)
Oh Diane! I am sure you are better natured than I am! :)
Chiara, thank you, I hope it looks as good once it comes off the cushion.
Don't give up,you are doing great work. Just remember to read the pattern and any tips before you start.I'm sure you will have fun learning the patterns. I'ts all trial and error and no lace is perfect.
Lucky, it wasn't me - you know, with trucker-mouth syndrome...and a very short fuse... : o
Better this little motif than an angel - I'm with you on that score. It looks as if it is going to turn out very well. I do not know where you get the patience to do that!
