I have already mentioned my friend Frances, she was making hand-dyed threads in 2006 when I first started this blog. She is an embroideress, and really talented creator of books, and I have had some lovely presents from her. Today she sent me a bookmark with a copy of her newly published book. It is stunning, and I am almost tempted to try myself...almost,my but not quite. I will go on just giving her scraps of my tatting and lace that she can incorperate into her work.

I make altered books and star books and love to do it. I do have one of my altered books on my blog--I have added my tatting to some of the pages.
Wow! That is very cool! I've seen some really neat altered art books, but I've not had the courage to try it!
Hi, looks like you had a great time away! must admit that I still have two tatting shuttles on the desk which don't seem to be doing anything! taken over by knitting at the moment, even the bobbins are quiet!
