Be still my beating heart!

My christmas present to myself this year was this pair of beautiful shuttles. They are from the shuttle shop.
My first project with them was Sadie's heart from Teri Dusenbury's site, and it has proved quite a complicated pattern, I have had to restart twice and even now there are a couple of mistakes I have ignored. Originally it was for a colleague who retires on the 31st January and who collects hearts, but I think I will have to start again. I'm not sure about my choice of thread, perhaps a solid colour would be less distracting?
Edit: I am posting the finished heart.

I have enjoyed your blog so much that when I got tagged, your link was handy in this weekend's history on my computer! :)
You have been tagged.
Here's the rules:1. Link to your tagger and post these rules.2. Share 7 facts about yourself: some random, some weird.3. Tag 3 people at the end of your post and list their names (linking to them).4. Let them know they’ve been tagged by leaving a comment at their blogs

No really: the shuttles and the thingies you made look great! (Even though I frankly admit I have no idea of any of that stuff.)

Happy New Year!

The finished heart is so beautiful! I absolutely love it.

It's hard to say if a solid colour would look better of not. The shading is subtle and doesn't detract from the heart, but the only way you'll know for sure which you like best is to tat another heart in a solid colour and look at them side by side. An extra heart is never "a bad thing" because you can always find a use for it.

The finished heart looks delightful, the varigated colour suits it very well and I adore the shuttles.
Now that's interesting! (The nurse comment you left on my blog) I think there must be something in our makeup that compliments caring with creating....maybe???

I think your heart is beautiful! I love my shuttles from the Shuttle Shop! In fact I love all my hand crafted shuttles! Somehow, they make tatting more enjoyable!
